43 Sunsets

Counted Light · Careful Work

43 Sunsets builds small, production-grade automations for real businesses. Every template ships with error handling, idempotency guards, and clear setup notes — because “it runs” and “it’s ready” are different things.

I build automationsTemplates, tools and skills — with the setup notes and honest limits written in. I just need the resultSend us the job, get the finished report or check — no tools to learn. Start with a free website check.

Pro pack

The full quote-to-cash chase, run from one Google Sheet — follow-ups that stop when they answer, an invoice row when you win, and polite reminders when payment runs late.

Work with us

You've seen the free templates. If you need one running in your n8n — tested, documented, and supported — that's what we do.

n8n technical partner

Something broke and you need it working. A flow has to go live and you want a second pair of eyes first. A client is asking a technical question you would rather answer with confidence. Written answers by the next business day; a fixed price agreed before any work starts. Details and booking →

Monthly or per job

Production install

One template (ours or yours), installed in your n8n Cloud or self-hosted instance, connected to your accounts, and tested live before we hand it back. You get a written note of what we changed and why, plus a JSON backup taken before we touched anything.

Fixed price

Technical partner

Two hours a month for questions, fixes, and small changes, answered in writing by the next business day. Put "Technical partner: 43 Sunsets" on your proposals if it helps you win them. Extra hours $40 each. Cancel any month.

Monthly

Custom build

A workflow that doesn't exist yet. Fixed price after a free written scope review. Delivered as version-controlled, documented JSON with a test log — production credentials stay on your side.

How we work: we never ask for your password — invite [email protected] as a user, or send the JSON. We back up before we change, and write down what we changed. We don't touch a running production flow without telling you first.

Email [email protected] with a link to the template or a two-line description of the job. Reply within one business day (Mon–Fri, US Central).

Starting prices as of August 2026. Invoiced by email.

Free n8n templates

Published in the official n8n template library. Import, connect your credentials, done — setup notes live right on the canvas.

Receipt → Expense Ledger

Reads receipts from your inbox — PDFs and photos, via AI extraction — into a clean Google Sheets ledger, with a processed-flag guard so no email is ever booked twice. Monthly summary included.

Google Review Request Emails

Asks happy customers for a review two days after the job is done — plus one polite reminder, never more. Honest notes on the canvas about what to expect.

Starred Emails → Obsidian Notes

Star an email in Gmail — once a day it becomes a clean Markdown note in your Obsidian vault, via a Google Drive synced folder. No plugin, no AI key; an idempotent label means an email is never captured twice.

Open Invoices → Monthly Statement

On the 1st of each month, sends each customer one statement listing every open invoice with an ageing summary — instead of three separate reminders for three unpaid invoices. A statement log guards re-runs, so the same customer is never sent twice in a month.

From the studio

43 Sunsets is a one-person studio near Chicago. I’ve spent twenty years building sales and operations systems between Japan and the United States — long enough to learn that “it runs” and “it’s ready” are very different things, and that the gap between them is exactly where small businesses get hurt.

So everything on this page ships the unglamorous parts: error handling, idempotency guards, plain-language setup notes, and honest lines about what a tool won’t do.

The name is a small ritual. On the hard days, you watch the sunset — and you count. Careful, deliberate, one at a time. That’s also how these tools are made.
